Pregnancy Dreams

I used to keep a journal of dreams in which I would record everything from the weird and nightmarish to the short and mundane. Every once in a while I would have a pregnancy dream--the boy in biology class delivered my baby or I had a baby and misplaced it. The latter are the most common, even now, where I almost have it and then I don't.

My pregnancy dreams since actively trying to get pregnant almost never include an actual baby. I'm pregnant but I never show. I'm going into labor but then it goes away and I'm no longer pregnant. Last night I dreamt that I started going into labor, but I didn't know I was even pregnant (no, I wasn't watching the show before I went to bed!). I actually delivered a baby with F, at home. We filled out the birth certificate. But when we started calling our family and friends to tell them we had a baby, we could not remember her name and couldn't find the birth certificate. By the end of the dream, the baby had become my dog in a diaper.

For ICLW, feel free to comment by sharing a pregnancy dream.

Hi! It's nice to "meet" you. My DH and I have been trying for nearly 3 years (in September). I've had a handful of pregnancy dreams, but mine usually involve the testing process. I suppose because I have never had a positive test, that would be a dream come true. Once, I dreamed we were on vacation and decided to test, but the only test we could find looked a bit like a water pik. We were sneaking around my parents because we didn't want them to know. I'm sure I remembered more details at the time. It was strange.

Happy ICLW!

Hey Jill!

I saw your comment on my blog and wanted to answer your question. Yes, I have to have the nicotine screen because I am doing shared risk. They only allow people into the program if they have been tobacco free for 30 days. It was a urine test...and that's about all I know. You should be just fine!!

Hey, Jill! Thanks for your comment on my blog. I just caught up on all your posts.

Our dreams sound so similar. I've had dreams where I thought I had a baby but then realize it's my nephew. When I stared TTC, I used to dream of seeing two lines on a pregnancy test, but now that my optimism is dead (ha!), I don't have those dreams.

Hi. Happy ICLW! I don't have pregnancy dreams that often but when I do I am never actually pregnant in them. I dream that I have a baby and it is mine but never about the pregnancy/delivery.
