First, thank you for sharing the news of my loss with the IF community on LFCA.
It has been nine days since the miscarriage. I'm not sure if it is over or ending or if my uterus is just taking a break before completely clearing its contents. I have not had any more large clots or tissue since last week's ultrasound showed some small bits of something. What I've had is just spotting, with some small brown stringy clots, many colors of brown that I have never seen with any period. And peachy tones as well. And kind of watery. Weird. Light spotting.
I apologize for being so descriptive. This is all new to me; and without being completely sure that everything has passed, I am very conscious of symptoms of an infection. Septic Miscarriage is what it is called--what a horrible term.
If I had not had the ultrasound last week I would assume that the miscarriage is over. I am hoping what we saw on the U/S was the stringy clots I've been seeing, because the spotting is very light now and I was expecting more. Yes, I was definitely expecting more. I haven't had any cramping or felt crampy in a few days, just an 'awareness' of my uterus, if that makes sense. I can feel it when I lay on my back, when I stretch my arms up to the sky, when I use my abdominal muscles. I've been avoiding all exercise except walking just to be careful. I have read that the bleeding could start back up again.
All in anticipation for my follow up beta. I'll have more answers then.

Hoping so much that things are clearing out and you won't have to deal with any sort of Septic Miscarriage. That sounds incredibly scary.
I think that it was an u/s at least a week after my m/c that still showed some "stuff" left in my uterus. It took about 5 weeks before my beta was down to <5 (it was the same day that an actual AF showed up rather than left over bleeding). I do understand that "awareness," though.
I'm so sorry for your loss. *hugs*
